El curso Advanced Open Water Diver PADI (buceo avanzado en aguas abiertas) es la puerta a la especialización en el submarinismo. Diseñado y acreditado por la Asociación Profesional de Instructores de Buceo (PADI), en el curso se aprende sobre navegación subacuática, buceo profundo y algunas especializaciones de submarinismo.

Características del curso de buceo en barcelona Advanced Open Water Diver PADI 

El PADI Advanced Open Water Diver está diseñado para instruirte y permitirte practicar la navegación y la flotabilidad, así como el buceo a profundidad. Además, contempla la ejecución de varias inmersiones especiales, que resultan válidas para conseguir certificaciones de especialidad avaladas por PADI. Entre dichas especializaciones se encuentran:

  • Buceo profundo (Deep Diver).
  • Buceo con scooter (DPV Diver).
  • Identificación de peces (Fish Identification).
  • Buceo nocturno (Night Diver).
  • Búsqueda y recuperación (Search and Recovery).
  • Buceo en pecios (Wreck Diver).

En Underwater Barcelona te ofrecemos un curso de buceo avanzado en aguas abiertas, que consta de un componente teórico y otro práctico. El primero se desarrolla totalmente en línea, mediante el empleo de nuestro portal interactivo. En promedio, esta actividad toma unas ocho horas, incluyendo la respuesta a los cuestionarios online que sirven para tu evaluación.

La parte práctica del curso la ejecutas en dos jornadas consecutivas, normalmente desarrolladas los días sábado y domingo, de las 8:00 a las 15:00 horas. Esta contempla cinco inmersiones en la costa del mar Mediterráneo, lindante con Barcelona, cada una de ellas con un propósito específico:

  • Una de navegación subacuática, para desarrollar destreza en navegación y flotabilidad.
  • Una de buceo profundo, introductoria a la práctica del submarinismo en aguas profundas (de 18 m a 60 m).
  • Tres de especialización de submarinismo. Como la especialización en buceo PADI es muy amplia, en Underwater Barcelona solo te ofrecemos las especializaciones más comunes. Si te interesa conocer si ofrecemos una de tu interés, rellena este formulario y con gusto te responderemos.

Al aprobar el curso de buceo avanzado en aguas abiertas, obtienes una licencia PADI con validez internacional. Esta te permite bucear en cualquier parte del mundo en aguas profundas, hasta 60 m de profundidad. 

Preguntas frecuentes

¿Cuáles son los requisitos del curso PADI Advanced Open Water Diver?

Los requisitos que debes satisfacer son los siguientes.

  • Haber previamente aprobado el curso Open Water Diver PADI.
  • No haber transcurrido más de un año desde tu última inmersión. 
  • Poseer un estado de salud que permita la práctica del submarinismo en aguas profundas.

Respecto al último requisito, te pediremos que antes de efectuar las inmersiones que firmes una declaración de poseer un estado de salud adecuado para el buceo en aguas profundas. Si padeces determinadas enfermedades crónicas o consumes algunos medicamentos, necesitas presentar la aprobación por escrito de un médico. Igualmente, te lo exigiremos si recientemente fuiste objeto de intervenciones quirúrgicas. 

¿Qué permite el certificado Advanced Open Water Diver PADI?

Este certificado te permite bucear en aguas profundas (hasta 60 m), en los diferentes países del mundo, ya que es de validez internacional. Además, las inmersiones especializadas realizadas en el curso valen como crédito para las correspondientes especializaciones de buceo de PADI.

¿Caduca la licencia PADI Advanced Open Water Diver?

Esta licencia o certificado nunca vence. Sin embargo, de transcurrir más de un año sin practicar una inmersión, se recomienda efectuar el llamado refresco de buceo.

¿Cuál es la edad mínima para cursar el Advanced Open Water Diver PADI?

La edad mínima para participar en un curso PADI de aguas profundas es de 15 años.

¿Cuál es la mejor época del año para cursar el Advanced Open Water PADI en Barcelona?

En nuestro centro de entrenamiento de buceo ofrecemos este curso a lo largo de todo el año, siempre que las condiciones climáticas permitan inmersiones seguras. 

Ahora bien, es una opinión generalizada que la mejor época para efectuar un buceo de profundidad en Barcelona, como el incluido en el curso, es del junio a septiembre. En dicha temporada el agua del mar Mediterráneo no solo está a mayor temperatura, sino que presenta mejor visibilidad.

¿Qué equipo necesito para hacer la práctica del curso Advanced PADI Open Water Diver?

Aparte del equipo convencional para inmersión en aguas abiertas, requieres de otros como una brújula y los demandados por las especialidades de buceo a practicar. Si no dispones de algunos equipos, en nuestra tienda de buceo Underwater Barcelona los alquilamos por jornada.
